I was approached by Ailbhe Reddy, an Irish
singer-songwriter, and I was asked to design
a cover for her new single along with a poster
and web banners to promote upcoming performances.
‘Relent’ is about looking back on a soured relationship & realising how
it could have been, seeing the lessons and the artit's own
shortcomings as part of the story. It’s about the
guilt that forms part of the natural retrospection
on a once loving relationship.

I wanted to communicate the reflection and the artists mixed feelings
on past relationships.
I used a photograph taken by Ciarán O'Brien and using photoshop
created the effect of double exposure, combining the image of Reddy's
face with that of the trees and sky.
